Krank Cycles is a full-service bicycle shop. We offer daily bike rentals on the island of Maui and have the largest fleet of mountain bikes to rent on the island. We also have an amazing selection of carbon road bikes, all available to rent at the best price on Maui.

Our bike sizes range from XS to XL and include: full-suspension mountain bikes, downhill mountain bikes and front-suspension mountain bikes. Our fleet of mountain bikes range from 27.5 to 650B plus and include 29er mountain bikes, dirt jump bikes, and kids bikes with 20” and 24” wheels. We have Carbon XC and Enduro mountain bikes available to rent as well.

I live in Oahu, and I came across one of their advertisements. I was in the market for a 2nd hand/used mountain bike. Instead I found this Brand New Cannondale 2020 Habit 3 Carbon for $3100. That's $1100 off of MSRP. In addition, they threw in some extras and free next day shipping to Oahu by Hawaiian Air Freight! The owner personally answered like a 100 different questions from me about this bike, and a upgrade project that I have. I will be referring these guys out to all my family, friends, and co-workers! Great team located on Maui! LEGIT! I love my bike! Now need one for my wife.

I was super bummed the weather didn’t provide very good riding conditions during our stay, for that reason I didn’t rent a bike from them, but I did stop into the shop to say hello. As a fellow bike mechanic I was really impressed at their knowledge and friendliness towards me, even though I was just passing through. It was great to sit a talk bikes with people who really know them too. I ended up leaving with a t shirt, a water bottle for my bike back at home, and some stickers so I can rep krank cycles back on trails the in Utah.Thanks again guys!! Look forward to coming back, hopefully I can go out for a rip next time.

Best bikes available on the island for mountain biking. If there was another choice on the island that had good mountain bikes I would go there. There staff isn’t friendly or really helpful at all.

We had a great experience renting bikes for the Skyline Trail from Krank Cycles! They had great bikes, great customer service, and gave us great advice on where we should ride.During the rental, we had an accident in which one of the rims was damaged. Krank Cycles was very fair and very accommodating to get us back out riding,Will definitely rent from them next time we are in Maui!

Unreal experience minutes from the trailhead. The selection of bikes is drool-worthy. Top of the line bikes from Santa Cruz, Ibis, GT, etc.--and even some rare beasts like the new Knolly Fugitive LT that Moose and his team sorted out for me. Shop is well stocked and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Renting mountain bikes can be tricky with all the setup and maintenance work that's required but these guys make it a simple and painless process.Prices are great and there's no way you'll find a better bike rental experience in Maui or elsewhere. They also have a full line of high-end road bikes and road e-bikes from brands like Giant, BMC and Orbea.If you're an avid cyclist, a stop at Krank should be on your bucket list. Whether it's for a rental or just to check out all the super rad Hawaiian themed cycling kits, Krank is the go-to destination and well worth the drive.

Stop by at this cool bike shop in Makawao today! Met the owner he's very knowledgeable and nice, they had lots of sweet bikes they rent bikes and of course have a nice place to fix bikes as well. I've been riding mountain bikes for 35 years so I know a good shop when I see one would highly recommend them if you need any repairs mountain bikes road bikes or e-bikes!

I couldn't have been more satisfied with my rental experience at Krank Cycles. They went above and beyond for me -- spending time with me on the phone offering suggestions the week before I arrived (which trails to ride under which conditions, logistics, etc.) The rental experience was quick and easy. I rented a Santa Cruz Bronson MTB. It was in great condition and was dialed in when I got there. I brought my own pedals and they happily got those installed and also made a tweak to the fork pressure at my request.I was by myself and hadn't ridden the trails nearby yet, so I had a lot of questions for the staff. They were extremely helpful in explaining all of the details of how to get there, what to expect on each trail, and how much time I could expect to be out there. They were really patient with all of my questions and also made sure to go over specific things I needed to know about the bike.My ride at the Makawao Forest Reserve Trails was awesome. The staff deserve some credit for that -- they took the time to tell me about an extra little loop I could do at the top of Pineapple express, gave me a realistic idea of what to expect for the climb up on the East loop, and went over the map in details (highlighting routes, explaining options).The rental return was quick and simple. They were friendly and wanted to know how the ride went. Also gave my a great lunch suggestion nearby. I would definitely recommend Krank Cycles and look forward to using them again on my next trip to Maui.

Really great selection of high-end road bikes perfectly set up for riding in the area (they also have really nice rental mountain bikes). Staff and owner are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, skilled and pleasant to deal with. Great advice on places to ride. I wish this was my local bike shop (I was visiting). Worth a trip across the island to rent from Krank regardless of where you are staying.

Great service. I have stopped into this shop a few times for very minor service stuff on my old mountain bike. First time the mechanic quickly fixed my issue for free. Second time he handed me the tool and let me fix it myself. If I buy a new bike it will be from Krank.

I come from an experienced team racing/riding background. I rented a road bike for a week and I can't imagine a better rental experience. If you want to ride some of the best equipment on the island for VERY reasonable prices, look no further. Moose and the rest of the gang at Krank Cycles are AWESOME. All their rental equipment was in "Like-New" or in my case "Brand-New" condition. They made all the adjustments to custom fit the bike to my requests and ensured I had everything I needed for a pleasurable riding experience on the island. They even suggested I bring the bike by for a tuneup after the first day (just to ensure no "new-bike" issues spoiled my ride). I always felt like they cared about me having a good time. I was given thorough advice on the best places to ride by experienced individuals who also ride daily. From the Ocean to the top of Haleakala and back will go down as one of my most rewarding life experiences to date. Having a reliable bike was mandatory for the journey.If you want to mix it up and ride road and mountain bike while on the island, Moose offered me the opportunity to swap my rental over to the other discipline during my stay. Renting for several days really knocked the price down and made this a no-brainer for leaving my personal bike at home. A couple of things to remember: 1)Reserve your bike in advance for a painless pickup process. >2)Arrive early because these guys get busy during the day. I see no reason to shop anywhere else. Great experience with renting a mountain bike; the process was easy and straight forward. Josh and his colleagues were helpful in comparing the different options they had available. The bike was in great shape and was in proper mechanical order. It’s great to see another bike shop providing great service. I highly recommend Krank Cycles for any bike rentals! Also, go check out the trails at Makawao Forest Preserve, they’re sweet!

“Moose” at Krank was awesome. He set two of my friends and I up with perfect bikes for the Skyline Trail. The riding route and side trails were well explained and the bikes performed really well. We will definitely be back for some more Maui single track! Thanks Krank Cycles!!!
